Having played both and experiencing a multitude of issues on the ps5 version, this version is more stable.
There are still visual bugs here and there. Sometimes the world loads in a second after the characters in cutscenes, etc. (in one instance when we opened a door, it blocked us from progressing until it loaded the world)
Also, the first shot from any gun when you aim will play the sound effect a half second late but subsequent shots play as normal. (This is the same for melee weapons). When you holster the weapon this will cause the issue to happen again.
The shotgun does reappear on the case after collecting it which doesn’t affect gameplay.
No issues with collectibles in this version in regard to collecting them.
The issues with Gray's apartment are the same as on PS5 (character models jittering and jumping into their intended spots during cutscenes).
Located all but one collectible (some were in different places compared to any guide we could find). Not sure if the collectible is missing entirely or just in a different place but it wasn’t located where guides said (it’s in the correct place after patch) and we simple couldn’t find it anywhere.
Didn’t encounter any crashes.
However, you can run into a gamebreaking progress block in chapter 4 (this can also happen in the ps5 version):
In chapter 4 **spoilers** if you complete the characters side optional story (the camera section for Emily), it will completely lock off the attic door, which means you can not complete the story segment there (there is no way to move the story forward). You must complete the attic section first before doing any other content in that chapter.
Also, for some reason even though the main location is exactly the same as other chapters the game suffers from some moderate frame drops. Nothing action orientated happens in these places so it’s an annoyance at best.
Other than that the tester managed 6 play throughs (3 with each character)
