Comments:

Version 1.00 included on disc. Version 8.0.0.0 is displayed in-game. This build is newer than the public beta but still has many differences compared to the day-one version of the game.

Campaign, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Freerun are all included on disc and can be played offline.

Note that all save data is separate between online and offline mode. It is still possible to save your progress offline, but it will not carry over into online mode and vice versa.

The Emblem Editor, Paintshop (camo creator), and Gunsmith (custom weapon creator) are all considered “Online Only” features and cannot be accessed while offline.

Campaign notes:
Campaign is fully playable offline. Split-screen Co-Op is not on disc and requires an update; however, it is still possible to play co-op over LAN without the update (Tested with 2 players).

All Campaign progression works offline, including the ability to unlock camos and calling cards, as well as the ability to carry those over into offline multiplayer and zombies.

Issues encountered:
⁃ Framerate can be inconsistent especially during really intense moments.
⁃ Encountered an instance where the game started stuttering heavily in one area, but it went away after about a minute.
⁃ Encountered a few instances where all of the cyber core icons would just display a white square when selecting them at the upgrade station.
⁃ Encountered various minor instances of objects disappearing when looking at them from specific angles or standing in a specific spot
⁃ For the ARK-7 weapon, the unlockable Jungle camo only appears on a portion of the weapon.
⁃ All unlockable campaign reticles seem to be missing from the disc build.

Multiplayer notes:
The entire multiplayer mode is playable offline either solo with bots, with up to 4 players in split-screen, or with up to 18 players via LAN (2 LAN players tested). Note that LAN play is unavailable in Multiplayer if you are playing with more than 2 split-screen players.

Most multiplayer progression is disabled offline; instead, the game unlocks everything from the start, with the exception of the campaign camos and the weapon mastery camos such as Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter.

Issues encountered:
⁃ Framerate issues can occur if you are playing with a full 18-player lobby with bots, especially if a lot of the bots are all standing in the same area.
⁃ Encountered an instance where the winners circle showed the incorrect names for each player.
⁃ When playing Safeguard, going into overtime will cause the match point counter to stop displaying correctly; however, the points still seem to count.
⁃ The icon for the multiplayer camo “Snow Job” shows what seems to be an earlier version of the camo.
⁃ All Specialist emotes are missing from the disc build.
⁃ The ARK-7 weapon was renamed to the KN-44 with the day-one patch.

Zombies notes:
Zombies mode is playable offline. Split-screen co-op is not on disc and requires an update; however, it is still possible to play co-op over LAN (2 players tested). The Shadows of Evil map is included on disc.

Most Zombies progression is disabled while offline; however, just like Multiplayer, all of the standard Zombies unlocks are unlocked from the start offline, with the exception of any of the premium consumable Gobblegums.

Issues encountered:
⁃ All of the Zombies-specific reticles seem to be missing from the disc build.
⁃ It is also not possible to change your reticle in Zombies without the update.
⁃ No camos exist for the Bowie Knife off disc, and the menu for the camos shows a white rectangle where the names of the camos would normally be.
⁃ Some minor framerate dips and stutters were encountered.
⁃ The bonus points for going prone in front of the Stamin-Up machine do not seem to work properly off disc.

Nightmares Notes:
The bonus Nightmares campaign is included on disc however beating the campaign does not unlock it as intended. The only way to access it off disc is by going to the Data Vault in the campaign, highlighting the secret option above your emblem, and pressing L1+L2+R1+R2+Square+Triangle, then entering the code “DREAMLAND” into the keypad. This will boot you back to the title screen with Nightmares unlocked.

Rebooting the game will cause the mode to disappear forcing you to repeat the same steps again to re-enable it, however any saved progress made in Nightmare will still carry over between restarts.

Just like the regular campaign, Nightmares does not support split-screen off disc, but it does still support LAN co-op for up to 4 players.

Issues encountered:
⁃ Sometimes the game would not display subtitles, show subtitles that are different than what the character was saying, or show typos in the subtitles.
⁃ Encountered one instance where the game hung on an infinite loading screen during a mission. Reloading the save fixed the issue.
⁃ Encountered a softlock in the Black Ops mission. Reloading the save fixed the issue.
⁃ Encountered three instances where the intro cutscenes to a few missions wouldn’t have any audio. Quitting out and reloading the save would fix the issue.
⁃ Encountered a few minor instances where voice lines would play on top of each other or cut off the other voice line.
⁃ Encountered one crash when trying to host a Nightmares LAN game but this couldn’t be replicated afterwards.
⁃ On one profile the game was tested on, a multitude of issues were encountered including Cyber Core powerups not functioning, deaths not being tracked properly in the scoreboard, and zombies not playing their spawn animations correctly. These issues persisted even across game restarts, but they were unable to be replicated on any other profile the game was tested on.

Most Nightmare mode testing was conducted on a separate local profile due to the issues stated above.

Dead Ops Arcade II Notes:
Dead Ops Arcade II is included on disc, however just like Nightmares, the only way to access it is by selecting the hidden option above your emblem in the Data Vault in the campaign. This has to be done each time you want to play DOA2.

Since you have to access this mode through campaign, you can only play Co-Op over LAN just like in the campaign. Couch Co-Op is only in the update.

The disc build has an issue where some rounds will display blocky lighting bugs that go away when objects spawn on them or if zombies walk on them. This was easily reproducible by going up after Round 1 ends, but seemed to only occur randomly after that.

Content Tested:
⁃ All campaign missions completed, maximum level achieved, and gold medal achieved in combat simulation.
⁃ Entire Nightmare campaign completed
⁃ All multiplayer maps and modes tested
⁃ All freerun maps completed
⁃ Shadows of Evil zombies map played, but the easter egg was not tested
⁃ Dead Ops Arcade 2 was played up to round 17
⁃ 4 Player Split-Screen was tested in Multiplayer and 2 LAN players were tested in every mode that supports it (including DOA2 & Nightmares)
