This game is mostly focused on sharing your creations online and playing other people's creations, so it is highly recommended to play this while online however you can still access most features in the editor offline and there are many pre made games included on disc that are playable offline made by Media Molecule including Art's Dream which is a full scale game.
Post launch updates added things like PSVR support and the ability to turn off the "Made in Dreams" watermark
