Game plays completely offline from beginning to end. Collectibles like the Atari cartridges and lost cats are present in the game. Some bugs encountered during playthrough:

1) When going through a door to another room, if you get hit immediately after pressing the button and lose all your HP, when you respawn there is a chance your movement speed (while crouching, walking, and running) will be reduced by about 60%. To fix this, you have to close the game and boot it up once again.

2) Similar to the previous bug, if you defeat one of the bosses but your HP goes down to zero because of a lingering attack, you will respawn at the beginning of the mansion without being able to open the chests rewarded to you for completing a level. In addition, when this happens there is also a chance your partner’s dialogue box will remain on screen permanently until you close the game and reboot it.

3) Some stairs might randomly have inexplicable invisible walls that will require you to go around through another room to access that area. Similarly, there were odd instances where the character would briefly get stuck on object and wall edges, but nothing game breaking that required a reset.

Despite these inconveniences, overall the disc has a good build of the game accessible and ready to be played offline at any point.
