-No offline functionality at all, not even to see the collectibles or customize the loadouts. The game doesn't even go past the booting up phase without being online.
-Technically, the main menu, including the collectibles screen and the loadouts customization, can be accessed without updating the game to the latest version, but there is no way to play any matches, so an update is still required.
