Despite the box claiming the game requires a content download, all levels (including the two secret levels in THPS2) and base game characters (including both of the secret characters) are included on disc, and both games can be 100% completed without the update
The PS5 version came out a while after the PS4 version, so it includes a newer build on disc with many of the additions and fixes the PS4 version received in updates. The PS5 disc seems to be equivalent to the PS4 version’s 1.09 update but it also has the cloud save transfer feature from the latest 1.10 PS4 update, however there is still a small update available for the PS5 version.
Compared to the PS4 disc, the PS5 disc includes the Solo Tours feature which allows you to have separate Skate Tour progress for each skater, as well as additional customization options and XP challenges to complete.
Both the 60fps Fidelity mode and the 120fps Performance modes are included on disc and no noticeable issues were found with either mode.
Some of the XP challenges are for the online multiplayer mode and cannot be completed offline.
